February 2026 Updates
Hello from 1basketry.
February has arrived.
The north wind still blows cold,
but in the gentle warmth of the daytime sunlight,
we can begin to sense the quiet signs of spring.
How have you been?
Now, here is our schedule for February 2026.
Our physical shop in Minami-Senju, Tokyo, will be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
This month, we will also be open on Sunday the 22nd and Monday the 23rd (public holiday) as special opening days.
On all days, we look forward to welcoming you between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
In addition to our regular opening days,
from 2026 we have set aside Mondays and Wednesdays as by-appointment-only visiting days.
These days are recommended for those who find it difficult to visit on regular opening days,
or for anyone who would like to take their time choosing items while consulting with our staff,
without concern for other customers.

By-Appointment Store Visit – February 2026 (Mon & Wed Only)
From Thursday, February 19, we will be holding a “The One Table” special exhibition at our physical shop.
This time, the exhibition will focus on
“European Baskets Encountered in Germany.”
Baskets from Germany, France, Belgium, and Spain will be presented in the shop.
In particular, the baskets from France and Spain will be shown in Japan for the very first time.
We will also be sharing scenes from a basket festival held in Germany in September 2025,
which the shop owner had the opportunity to visit.
