A Gift for One—A Small Sawagurumi Drawer at the Exhibition おひとりにプレゼント「さわぐるみの小引き出し」/特集展にて
On Thursday, October 31, this exhibition opened at our shop in Minami-Senju, Tokyo.
“The One Table” Special Exhibition
– Sawagurumi (Walnut bark) Baskets –
At a special exhibition held around two years ago, we quietly received a warm response to a small gift project,
and this time, we will be offering it once again.
Its name is “Creating an Original Sawagurumi Small Drawer.”
Using leftover pieces of sawagurumi produced during the basket-making process,
we will decorate the surface of a ready-made small drawer.
Visitors to the exhibition are invited to attach the pieces freely with glue.
Small offcuts that would normally be discarded are arranged in personal ways,
resulting in an original “small drawer” that is almost one of a kind in the world.
This finished piece will be given as a gift to one person by lottery, with shipping included.
At the previous exhibition, the completed piece was presented to one visitor,
so if this new drawer is completed, it will become the second work of its kind in the world.
Once again, for this small drawer project, the maker, Mr. Sasaki, has kindly provided us with special sawagurumi offcuts.
When you visit, we hope you will fully enjoy the sawagurumi baskets,
and also take the time to enjoy creating a small drawer using the offcut chips.
For this gift, one person will be selected from among all participants who entered the lottery by Saturday, November 16,
and only the selected winner will be contacted.

*During the exhibition period, the display will focus primarily on sawagurumi baskets,
but all of our regular items will also be available to view in the shop.
**All purchases may be taken home on the day.
Only items displayed in the shop will be available for sale, and most are one-of-a-kind pieces,
so we recommend visiting early if there is something that catches your eye.
Please note that we will not be accepting custom orders during this exhibition.
